Baby shower greeting card design is just one of the things on your to-do list before the special event. Whether you are the mother-to-be or you are in charge of your loved one’s baby shower, there is a lot that needs to be done. Thus, read on for my baby shower to-do list.

Baby Shower To Do List

You need to start planning the baby shower about two months before the event. During this time, you will need to set a date and choose a venue.

Make a guest list of all of the people you are going to invite. Are you going to keep it traditional and only invite females? Or, will you throw a couple’s baby shower and invite children too?

You then need to send invites to all of your guests. Make sure you put an ‘RSVP’ date on there, You will want to know if anyone is not going to attend so you don’t spend an unnecessary amount of catering and such.

As the baby shower gets closer, around three to four weeks beforehand, start planning the menu. You may have chosen a venue that does this for you, or you may want to put on a tea party or finger buffet yourself. You will also need to order decorations. This will depend on whether you are having a boy or a girl. Or, perhaps you don’t know the sex of the baby?

You should also plan some different games for people to play and arrange prizes for the winners. Finally, consider ordering baby shower favours as a parting gift for all attendees.

Baby Shower Invitation Cards – The Full Guide

Baby shower invitation cards are a must if you are planning to host this type of invite. Baby showers are growing in popularity in the UK. It is an event that the mother and all those involved look forward to. But, when should you send a baby shower invitation? And, whom should you invite?

It is a good idea to send out your invitations four to six weeks before the event. This will give people enough notice, but it also makes sure you don’t send the invitation too early otherwise they may forget about it! You should also include a date to RSVP by.

Follow up on the invitations if you do not hear back, as you don’t want to spend extra money on catering for people who are not going to attend. A lot of people elect to send baby shower invites via email nowadays. But, it’s much better to go for the traditional approach of sending a physical invitation. This will make all of the guests feel special.

This leads to the next part perfectly, whom should you actually invite to a baby shower? Most people tend to have an intimate event, meaning they invite their closest female friends and family members.

It’s commonplace for games to occur, including quizzes about the mother, which can be a bit awkward if you have people there who you don’t know very well. It should not be news to any potential guest that you are expecting!
