Spot Prone Skin

I’ve suffered from acne breakouts since I was a teenager. I’ve used lots of different products over the years, some costing a lot of money and I have basically thrown my money down the drain.

Recently, I’ve started using a couple of really good cleansing products that are effective and affordable for spot-prone skin.

So many acne products are overpriced but these are reasonable and cost less than a tenner for both, plus they contain the same main ingredients that a lot of more costly products have in them.

What’s great about these products in the T-Zone range by Newtons Labs is that they both contain Tea Tree Oil and Salicylic Acid, which are two really good spot fighting ingredients. Both are Paraben free too!

Firstly let’s look at the Cleansing Cream Wash. The reason I like it is that it doesn’t dry out the skin, you simply apply it to the face without water, massage it and then rinse it off. It gets all my eye makeup off too. It comes in a 150ml size.

Update 29/5/22. This product is hard to find at the moment, I recommend using Quinoderm instead if it’s unavailable.

The second product is the Antibacterial Cleanser. I use this as a toner and apply it with a cotton pad to the face to make sure I’ve removed all traces of makeup. This comes in a 200ml size.

I then apply my regular moisturiser and spot treatment if needed such as Benzoyl Peroxide. Acnecide is very good.

There are some great value skincare products available in the shops which are just as effective as those with a higher price tag. It does pay to shop around and try out cheaper brands!
