The Ninja Speedi 10-in-1 Cooker could be the solution to simplifying your kitchen routine while cutting costs. In this post, I’ll share our practical experience with this versatile appliance, focusing on how it streamlines meal prep and helps you save time and money.

I’ve had my eye on the Ninja cookers for a while because I’ve read good reviews about them and how they can save you money in the long term.

My cooker’s cooling fan had stopped working and I was in two minds about whether to go for a new oven or one from the Ninja range.

While browsing the internet, I noticed they were on sale with significant discounts, and the Ninja Speedi 10-in-1 caught my attention.

I looked at a few reviews about it on YouTube, which helped me make my decision, so I went for it. I aim to stop using the oven and hob completely.

How Much is the Ninja Speedi?

The retail price is £249.99; however, with a discount, I received an additional 10% off for signing up for the Ninja mailing list. So, in the end, I paid £143.10, saving me £106.89, which I think is a great deal.

I can’t guarantee that it’s on sale at the time you’re reading this, but you can check the Ninja website or Amazon.

What sold the Ninja Speedi to me was that you could cook a whole meal in it in around 15 minutes. I like the idea of being able to cook everything at once.

Unboxing

When you first unbox the Ninja Speedi, after removing any packaging, you will need to wash the cooking pot, cook and crisp tray, and condensation collector before using. Then you’re ready to start using it.

Make Sure You Have Space

It is advised not to operate the Ninja Speedi underneath Kitchen cupboards, you may find that when opening the unit your cabinets get in the way. The best place for it in my kitchen is on top of the hob.

Ninja Speedi 10-in-1 Functions

By flipping the smart switch at the top of the unit you can switch between Rapid Cooker and Air Fry/Hob.

Rapid Cooker

Speedi Meals: Cook a complete meal all in one pot. Perfect for combination meals like chicken, rice and vegetables.

Steam Air Fry: For juicy and crisp results.

Steam Bake: For baking cakes and bread. Baked potatoes can be cooked using this setting.

Steam: For cooking delicate food at high temperatures and retaining nutrients. You add water, place your vegetables or other items to steam, and set the timer. It only uses the bottom heating element, steaming your food to perfection.

Air Fry/Hob

Grill: Perfect for grilling meats, vegetables and garlic bread.

Air Fry: Cook pre-prepared fresh and frozen foods so they’re nice and crispy without the need for lots of oil.

Bake/Roast: This function is perfect for baking cakes, roasting meats, and cooking virtually any oven-baked dish. It’s like an oven with dry heat.

Dehydrate: Perfect for dehydrating fruits and vegetables making healthy snacks.

Sear/Sauté: Use this function as a hob to brown meat and sauté vegetables.

Slow Cook: Perfect for slow-cooking stews, soups and casseroles.

What We’ve Tried So Far

We started by cooking baked potatoes (medium-sized) and followed instructions on YouTube by setting the cooker to 170 degrees and cooking them for 35 minutes. They were a little firm inside, so I think we need to tweak the time/temperature and perfect them so they are nice and fluffy inside.

We followed the Creamy Chicken with Pasta from the handy recipe book which turned out delicious and was ready in around 15 minutes.

Sweet potato wedges: We cooked these for 20 minutes on the Air Fry setting at 200 degrees and checked halfway through the cooking time.

What I love about the Ninja Speedi so far is that you don’t need to stand over a hob. You simply put the food in the Ninja and let it do its work. There’s a lot less washing up as well!

We’ve also tried one of our spaghetti dishes where everything is cooked in the bottom of the pan. When cooking spaghetti, break it in half so that it fits in the pan.

The lid can be opened at any time during cooking to check the food.

In summary, my decision to go for the Ninja Speedi 10-in-1 cooker was a good one. The attractive discount made it an even better deal. This cooker’s versatility, from rapid cooking to air frying, has simplified meal preparation and reduced the time spent in the kitchen. It’s a practical addition that’s already proven its worth.
