Sometimes bloggers and content writers have mental blocks and find it hard to think of content writing topics. So today, if you’re having one of those days, I’ve put together a list of 15 useful content writing topics to help you get those ideas flowing along with some tips and tools to help you develop your own ideas for topics on article writing.

If an event is coming up like Valentine’s day, for example, you could write a gift list for him or her. Add affiliate links for each product to help increase your income. Great places to find ideas for gift lists are Etsy, Amazon and Pinterest.

2) A Tutorial

Share any knowledge you have that might help someone else. Write a step-by-step post on how to do something adding screenshots and images to help the reader. This could be anything from setting up a blog to designing a logo.

3) A Product Review

Writing product reviews helps your audience make decisions on whether or not to buy something. Start with items that you own, write about them and add plenty of photos.

4) A Course Review

Write about any courses that you have taken. Inform the reader of the good and any bad points.

5) Parenting Tips

Parents often are seeking help with their children. Writing a useful article on potty training or dealing with teens are types of articles that can really help stressed mums and dads.

6) A Collaborative Post

Decide on a topic and ask other bloggers to contribute, have their say and give their ideas in return for a link back to their sites. This is a quick way to come up with great content.

7) Gardening

There are plenty of things that you can write about gardening. Search on Google about problems people have with their gardens and write about them offering solutions.

8) Books

Write a list of books that your readers will be interested in. There are tons of books available on Amazon. If you’re an Amazon associate, add an image link and write a little about each book that you are promoting.

9) Beauty Tips

You could talk about skin, hair or make-up. Choose a beauty subject and research the internet for information to help compile your post. Articles that give a solution to a problem are always popular.

10) Recipes

Do you have a family recipe you could write about? What have you cooked lately? If you can’t come up with any ideas, try using PLR recipes changing the wording, and adding your own ideas.

11) Social Media Tips

Create content for your readers advising them on how to set up and use different platforms. Provide tips on posting strategies. Show them tools that can post for them.

12) Weight Loss Tips

Write articles on how to lose weight, including fitness routines and exercise equipment that readers can use. Provide healthy recipes and advice on foods to avoid.

13) Travel

You could write about travelling, luggage, destinations, places to eat, things to do and exchanging money etc.

14) Sleep Problems

Many people have trouble getting to sleep or staying asleep. An article with solutions for this can be really helpful to readers. Include ideas such as changing the mattress or getting a new bed. Provide help with snoring and noise-cancelling solutions.

15) Pets

Write advice on getting a new puppy or kitten, toilet training, pet health problems, grooming tools and bedding etc. There are plenty of topics to write about in the pet niche.
