“Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you’ll start having positive results…”

Willie Nelson

One small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day

Why do we have negative thoughts?

Negative thoughts are a result of overthinking. They tend to occur more when we are alone or lying awake at night.

They can be triggered by anything; someone being rude to you, an event where you felt ashamed, angry or even something you’re worried about that might happen.

When you start overthinking and worrying about what might happen or replaying an event over and over in your head, it’s time to take a step back and evaluate your thoughts.

Replace negative thoughts with more desirable ones

If you want to eliminate negative thinking, the trick is to replace any negative thought with a more desirable idea.

Learn how to handle negative thoughts by asking yourself why you should entertain these negative thoughts. Then use positive self-talk to help yourself stay focused.

Ask yourself if there is any evidence to support the adverse claim, then release that negative thought and let go of the fear of the unknown.

Every day there is an opportunity to improve. By using positive self-talk, you will stay focused.

If you fall back into negativity, remind yourself that you can choose to refocus your attention and focus on the positive.

Keep yourself grounded through daily practices of gratitude and self-love.

Live in the present and be grateful each day. Pay close attention to the blessings in your life.

Love yourself for all that you have accomplished so far and celebrate what you already have today.

You have a choice whether to take advantage of any opportunities. You have power over your destiny and can take ownership of your thoughts in the present moment.

Try repeating the following affirmations:

Today, I see myself accomplishing great things

I have the power over my destiny

I feel confident in my abilities

I am ready to accomplish anything

I am in charge of my thoughts

I am successful

I am strong

I am loved

I am beautiful

I know that I am enough

I am blessed in abundance
